Conflict is commonplace in our daily lives.  It doesn’t “go away.”  However, you can work to understand it enough so that you’re not afraid of it; and by understanding conflict, two people or multiple parties can work together to find a path out of the conflict.

Susanna has developed a comfort with conflict through working with it in many different forms over the years.  She started in the field of mediation, mediating divorces and subsequently has tackled collaborative contract negotiations; battling fire departments, city councils and school boards; warring staff members in schools and offices; and groups dealing with controversial environmental issues.

In 1999, she entered the public participation arena – including major environmental impact studies – where she has achieved considerable recognition for her work.
